Nederman Spain has received an order worth around SEK 5.5 million for a total solution for capturing and filtrating welding fumes. The customer is the regional authority in Catalonia (Generalitat de Catalunya), which has decided to environmentally-adapt about 60 regional technical schools.
The order consists of over 200 complete FilterBox systems and was won against stiff competition from the biggest filter manufacturers in Europe.
“Over the past few years we have seen a growing interest from regional and state authorities about equipping workshops and technical schools with systems for handling dangerous particles that occur when welding or working with different wooden materials,” says Sven Kristensson, Nederman’s CEO. “We have received similar orders from countries like the USA, Denmark and Sweden.”
The Catalonian authorities carried out thorough tests and evaluations before a decision was made about the supplier. An important factor for choosing Nederman was Nederman Spain’s well-established service organisation in Spain.
All equipment will be installed by Nederman Spain, and is estimated to be completed in August. The agreement also includes that Nederman will train all personnel. According to Nederman Spain this order will mean greater cooperation with the Catalonian authorities in other sectors.
