Energy consumption, waste recycling and carbon dioxide emissions from transport are at the center of Nederman’s environmental work
Each quarter, all plants report their energy consumption in production, their total energy consumption, and the proportion of waste that is recycled. Statistics of carbon dioxide emissions from incoming and outgoing transport are compiled once a year.
Nederman’s aim is to reduce energy consumption in relation to sales by 20 per cent by 2020 (compared to 2013). We are working actively to limit carbon dioxide emissions from transports, and here too, the goal is to reduce emissions by 20 per cent by 2020. As for the waste generated in production, the target is that 95 per cent will go to recycling by 2020.
Nederman shall provide solutions that protect people, planet and products from the harmful effects of industrial processes. Our work shall meet or exceed current legislation, and focus on continual improvement and resource efficiency - thereby contributing to sustainable development and minimized impact on the environment.
