Extraction arms are installed in laboratories to extract contaminants, such as solvents, or to evacuate airborne contaminants generated during operations.     

In the soldering process, lead-tin solder alloy is often used as filler metal. Lead oxide fumes are generated when heated. According to OSHA, people exposed to lead oxide fumes can develop symphphtoms such as loss of appetite, indigestion, nausea, vomiting, headaches, abdominal cramps, nervousness, or insomnia. Nederman BenchTop arms are designed to provide safe and clean working environments, reducing the health riscs.  

Extraction arm designed for optimal efficiency and low noise 

Computerized simulations were used in the development of Nederman BenchTop products to create arms with optimal air flow and particle transportation properties. The unique design allows an unobstructed airflow and high efficiency using smaller and less energy consuming fans. Another user benefit is the low noise level. Depending on the air flow, the noise level is at least 5dB lower than other extraction arms in the market.

Unique maneuverability

The two outermost joints in the arm can rotate and swivel through 360°. This provides unequalled, omni-directional flexibility and makes it possible to position the hood exactly where it's needed the most. Once correctly positioned, the hood can be locked in place using two friction devices in the arm joints.
